Mirpur, Dhaka, will host the first t20 of two match t20 series. Srilanka won the test series 2-0 before the t20 series. Srilanka even won the tri nation ODI series before the test series. Two teams will move to Sylhet after the first T20 to play second t20.
Mahamadullah will lead the side in the absence of their regular skipper. Nazmul Hussain or Mehady Hasan will play the spinner role. They lost their last two match in T20’s. But their form is far better than their opposition’s, who have lost all their last five games. The main threat for Srilanka is Mustafizur Rehman. But srilanka seems to be enough prepared to tackle Rehman.
Injury woes for both the teams
Both the teams are facing injury challenges. Recently Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rehman have joined the injury list and are uncertain to play first T20, Which will be held at MIrpur. Skipper Sakhib ul Hasan is already ruled out from T20’s as he injured his finger during Tri nation final. Srilanka already lost few key players for t20’s. Srilanka too is filled with Ijuries. Angelo Mathews is not in the squad due to hamstring injury. Kusal Mendis is anniunced as replacemnt for Kusal Perrera, who is also injured. Now Asela Gunaratne also picked up an injury . But his replacement is yet to be announced.

Momentum is with Srilanka after winning Test and ODI series. Upul tharanga said the same before the match in conference. Thisera Perrera lead Srilanka Side in T20’s against India last year.
