Napier: India Vs New Zealand Live score

We witnessed Very high scoring games when New Zealand played against Srilanka at home earlier this year.  They won all the limited over games. But now they have to play against world number 1 team ODI’s , India. Even after clean sweeping  the Srilanka, New Zealand start as firm underdogs against India, Such is the quality of Indian side. India are coming after registering one of their memorable moments in cricketing history. They have won both ODI and test series against Australia in Australia.

Can India do what they did in Australia?

ODI series between India and New Zealand will start on 23rd January. India will play 5 ODI’s and 3 t20’s on part of this tour. Napier will host the first ODI. India are playing with the same squad. Chahal is likely to be preferred to be in playing eleven after picking up 6 for in Last ODI, against Australia. We can expect very high scoring games after seeing how the pitches behaved in series between New Zealand and India. New Zealand felt hard to defending some high scores against Srilanka. It will be much harder because India are much more comfortable chasing scores. Dhoni once again proved that he can still finish games. He was moved to number 4 slot against Australia in last ODI. But team management is not likely to repeat same. His batting order will be purely circumstantial.

All the players in Indian squad has no serious threats to their places. But Dhawan has to be careful, his highest score is 35 in his last 9 games.

Lots of banter was seen on Australian tour,. But new Zealand tour started in completely different way. Virat Kohli and his counterpart Kane Williamson have exchanged mutual admiration in prematch Conference.

Match will be telecasted in Starsports 1HD from 730 am ISt.

Cricinfo Predictions

  • Virat Kohli to score a century.
  • Expect more than 560 runs in the game.

Adelaide: India Vs Australia Live score, Preview

Do-or-Die for win

India has to win after losing the first ODI at Sydney. Being it a Three match ODI series, India has to win to stay in contention. India are certain to make one change. Kedhar Jadhav is likely to replace Dinesh Karthik.

Number 4 conundrum for India

India’s conundrum is yet to be solved. India couldn’t fins a player who could perform consistently  at no 4. Rayadu has played consistent against west Indies and looked to be solution for the problem. Vice captain Rohit Sharma feels Dhoni should come at no 4.

Batting should take the onus for the loss in first ODI. bowlers did well to restrict India Under 300. One any decent ODI wicket, One can fancy India to chase under 300.

In swinging issues for Finch

India plot to Aron Finch is very clear. Finch is struggling facing incoming deliveries.  Bhuvaneswar Kumar can bowl those deliveries at will. Alex Carry  was not able to capitalize start. Australia seemed to be very clear about their total. Their assessment of pitch in first ODI is commendable. They never made the attempt to score big. They were comfortable with the score of just run a ball.

Dhoni’s approach to innings

Everyone is interested in witnessing Dhoni’s approach in second ODI. When team are struggling after losing three wickets for just 4 runs. Dhoni impeded further falling of any wickets. But he eat up too many deliveries admist, which is one of the reason for Indias defeat. He is not able to play with ease he used to be. His batting is lacking confidence. There is no situation of him scaring bowlers. India definitely need him for experience and strategist, But should not be expense of teams performance.

Cricinfo Predictions

  • Team chasing to win the match.
  • Rohit Sharma to score a century.
  • Bhuvi to pick two or more wickets.
