Gujrat Lions VS Punjab Match story
Gujrat Lions have started their Career in a promising way. Like their Co debutants, Gujarat have bagged two points in their first match itself. Raina Impressed every one with his leadership skills. Manan Vohra, M Vijay gave a wonderful start which couldn’t be capitalised by rest of the batsmen. Punjab Batsmen who scored 9o runs in 9 over’s couldn’t maintain the run rate and finished at 161.Gujrat Lions who bowled well to restrict Punjab to 160 also played well with bat.
On Monday, Gujrat Lions have registered their first ever win with 5 wickets in hand against Kings IX Punjab in IPL09. Suresh Raina who won the toss opted bowl. M Vijay and Vohra gave a blazing start and at one point of time they were going at 9 runs per over. They scored first 78 runs in 50 balls .It was Ravindra Jadeja to first provide break through for Gujarat by dismissing M vohra . Dinesh karthik held on to a catch which came off the pad after an inside edge. Murali Vijay couldn’t capitalise by playing a vague short in Ravindra Jadeja’s Over. From then Bravo took the reins. With his crafty slower balls he picked up 4 wickets for just 22 run which would be a match winning performance on any day.
