Chennai to host a T20 without Dhoni
Chennai will host last match of the series . It would be festival atmosphere when ever a cricket match is going to be held. Be it any part of country. But Chennai will surely miss their adopted son MSD in Indian team. Be it for any reason MSD is not going to take field in Chennai.
Having already win the tournament ,India would like to finish the series with a victory. Though it’s a dead rubber, this match has significance. A loss can deteriorate Confidence before going to Australia .Interim captain, Rohit Sharma is doing great job by having back to back wins as the captain. It was only once on this tour West Indies tasted a Victory. It was in third ODI. And one more time they refrained India from tasting victory, Second ODI.
Having won the series already, India will rest it’s key bowlers jasprith Bumrah and kuldeep yadav. Chahal will continue in the side and Sundar Washington will replace kuldeep. Umesh will take Bumrah’s place.
West Indies have not performed to their expectations. Be it for any reason, they are far better side than what we saw. The are side with most number of players who are well accustomed to the pitches due to IPL. Though Chris Gayle, Andre Russel and Narine are not available for selection .They are still having experience in the form of Dinesh Ramdin, Darren bravo and Carlos Brathwaite. Sharon Hetmyer did not give impact as he did in ODI’s. But that doesn’t mean he is not suitable for t20’s. He is the man of the match for this year’s edition of cpl. Shai Hope has not given starts to the team.
Oshane Thomas consistently raised questions to Indian batsmen. He has got one more chance to gain attention of IPL franchises.Carlos brathwaite also did decent job with ball but couldn’t replicate similar performance with bat. Last t20 is a good chance for West Indies as some of key bowlers will be rested in Indian team.
