Second test has come to conclusion stage. Both teams have equal chances to clinch the test match. But home advantage may incline towards India. Team India gained initial momentum by putting up big score in First innings. They also restricted England to modest score in England’s first innings. India attained a lead of 200. A clear picture could be obtained by the end of day 4.

Day 4 Story

Ravi Ashwin ,who failed in first test, recovered well with great performance. He picked up five wickets for 67 runs. Ashwin has completed 50 wickets in 2016. Now Ashwin becomes the first bowler to pick up 50 wickets in consecutive years. Stokes and bairstow from England team have scored hundreds. This is Aswins’s 22nd five wicket haul. India scored 98 runs for 3 wickets at the end of day 3. Kohli and Rehane are at the crease. India currently lead by 298 runs. Even if India survives one session on fourth day, Lead is expected to surpass 400.

On fourth time, Ashwin scored a fifty and picked 5 wickets. He equalled kapil dev in achieving this feet. Bhuvaneswar kumar has achieved the feet twice. Ashwin picked up 2 wickets in consecutive balls in first innings. So it will be hat -trick if he picks up wicket of his first ball in second innings.
Day 5
India are 8 wickets away from first success in the series. England requires 312 to win. With the intent England played on Day4, we can say they are playing for a draw. On stumps of day 4 England lost 2 wickets for the score of 87. England to play out of skins to draw the test match.
