Test 1:India VS New Zealand Match Story
India Clinched a victory in historic test at Nagpur. Kiwis couldn’t continue their luck from World cup match at Nagpur. Even though Ronchi and Satner resisted at the crease for significant amount of time, They couldn’t defy India a victory. Foot marks kept expanding and made it tough for Batsmen at the crease.
Match was finished soon post lunch session started. New Zealand are yet to win a test India since 1998.Nine players in KIWI squad were not born when NZ team won a test on India Soil. Ashwin grabbed a 10 wicket haul. He was also awarded Man of the match for his ten wicket haul.
One of the Boxes ticked is, Ravindra Jadeja Contributed to the Victory. His all round performance acted as a catalyst to the victory. He grabbed five wickets in first Innings and wicket in Second Innings. He also scored a half century in second innings which is a part of partnership with Rohit .All the five wickets India lost in second innings are picked by spinners.
Individual Performance
- Though India won, Crowd witnessed a rare failure from Virat Kohli. It wouldn’t bother kohli as he always focuses on team contribution.
- Rohit had put on a just enough performance to keep his place in second test. He failed in first innings. HE scored unbeaten 68 runs in second innings.
- Shikhar Dhawan is also expected to confine to field in next match also.
- Kane Williamson had also failed personally in the test match along with Martin Guptill.
- Mark Craig might not find a place in second test.
- Murali Vijay scored 50 in the both the innings.
- Luke Ronchi is the best of all New Zealnd batsmen. He scored 80 runs, which is highest individual score in the match.
On this Historic test legends of Indian cricket were invited. Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendlkar, Gavasker and Dhoni were seen on Day 1.

India Vs New Zealand Preview
Kanpur is all set to host historic test. Team India will play its 500th test on 22 of September. New Zealand will have the privilege to feature in the test. let’s look into some of the facts before the match. There is a bad news for team India just ahead of test match. Ishant Sharma is unavailable for the test match due to illness. He is suffering from Chicken Guinea. His replacement is yet to be announced by management.
It’s been a very long time since India has lost a test match under captaincy of Kohli. Sourav Ganguly seems not to have impressed with the inclusion of Rohit Sharma in the squad while Manish Pandey and Gautham Gambhir are lurking with some good performances in domestic circuit. Rohit Sharma Countered it in a lighter way. Ravindra Jadeja is back in the squad. He had a domestic season which is tremendous .
Can Nagpur be lucky for New Zealand Again
New Zealand has had great warm-up match. Luke Ronchi scored a century in second innings of warm-up match. They wish to prolong their form into this match. New Zealand will suffer a big blow before the match. Jimmy Neesham is ruled out from Nagpur test due to Injury. Tim southee too is ruled out from series.
Few pics are released into the net. It is evident that we are going to witness a square turner once again. Indian Board was criticized when South Africans visited in October. Three Spinners are certain to be a part of team. New Zealand might find it hard to include to spinners in Team. Micheal Satner had great t20 world cup which happened six months back.
Curtain raiser of world cup was held at Nagpur. It was also between India and Kiwis. Kiwis had the last laugh in that match. Santner had a partnered Ish Sodhi.
Kiwis has also announced ODI for the tour. Star All rounder Anderson is also included in the side. Kane Williamson will lead ODI side also

Practice match: Mumbai Vs Kiwis Score card
New Zealanders Started
- Well played Williamson and Latham
- Warm-up match Against Mumbai.
Kiwis are to play a warm up match against Mumbai before playing a series of Five One days and 3 tests. They have started well at Whankade in the warm up match. The warm-up match which will last three days has started yesterday. Their batting unit lived beyond their expectations. They have fully used the match for batting practice.
Kiwis Looked Confidant
Kiwis were sent in to bat after losing the toss. Williamson is the appointment as the skipper after the retirement of Brendon McCullumn. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rehane are the stalwarts in the Mumbai team. New Zealand declared the innings also. They scored 325 runs in 15 overs before Williamson declared the innings. They lost seven wickets of the 325 runs.
New Zealand lost Martin Guptill when New Zealand score was just 30. Guptil only managed to score 15 runs on decent cricketing wicket. Kane Williamson and Tim Latham scored fifties .Both of them retired to give their rest of team a batting opportunity. Micheal Santner and Taylor have just missed fifties with the scores of 45 and 4 respectively. Out of 75 overs in New Zealand innings 49 have been bowled by spinners. As the pitch is not friendly for Spinners, they couldn’t give optimal effect.
Both the teams included 15 members. Though Rohit Sharma is in the squad, he fielded only for few over’s. There is a decent chance that Rohit Sharma will bat today.
Rohit and Rehane are felicitated with Arjun awards
Sports Minister Vijay Goyal has Felicitated Ajinkya Rehane and Rohit sharma with Arjun awards on Friday. Though awards had to be received on the eve of sports day, both the players are on national duty in Windies. So they were felicitated yesterday. Both of them received a cash prize of
