Will Complacent India come back?

Will the test be finished in three days? Else will be completed in four?… This was the case in test matches held in India over couple of years! India was Successful on all the Occasions till Aussies gave them befitting reply. India might get support when they prepare Square turners. But that could be a trap for themselves when opposition got better spinners than us. Ashwin and Jadeja could not effective as they were against England and South Africa. First test at Pune is definitely an eye opener for India.  Three Indian Spinners cumulatively picked 14 wickets. where both Australian spinners took 16 wickets together.

Eye opener for team India

Square turners are to attributed for most of Success for Ashwin and Jadeja. India wouldn’t have imagined a loss by a margin of 333 runs. It was clearly evident that India was complacent before the series as the Aussie team arrived was least experienced side ever to be toured. But before the start of series they practiced on Dubai pitches which resemble India’s. they had devised perfect Strategy to play Indian spinners. Ashwin and Jadeja were able to pick up only 4 wickets together in 60 over’s they bowled in first innings.

O’ Keefe picked up six wickets each in both the innings. He and Jadeja are Similar bowlers. But Jadeja has got bit more turn than O Keefe which had negative effect on this match. Jadeja’s Deliveries which missed the bat also missed the stumps .Where as O Keefe Stuck to the length, his lesser turning balls pitched in line would hit off stump the moment is missed the bat.Even best batsmen in the world  Kohli was troubled facing spin. Starc and Renshaw proved to be major difference for both the sides. Mitchell Starc cleared the field with ease against the spinners. Matt  seemed to an adept leaving deliveries which miss off stump.

Second test will be played at Chinnaswamy stadium Bangalore. Skipper has exceptional record at Bangalore.

Day 3: India Vs Australia live score

India fell in its own trap. Now team India is in ominous position of losing the test match. Player who played only four international tests wrecked team India with his spin .Like never before, Team India lost 7 wickets in the span of 11 runs. Everybody thought Australia could not give at least a fight to  India . But now they are in driving position. Oz is in completed test match at Pune. Australia are already 298 runs ahead while having 6 wickets in hand. Draw is completely improbable in current situation.

300+… Only once

Three hundred has been chased only once on Indian soil. In 2008, India chased 387 against England at Chennai. Pune, where current test match is going on. Batsmen aren’t getting much assistance. Even 200 is going to be a tough task. Indian batsmen have to play exceptionally well to clinch the match.

Steve O keefe picked 6 wickets.

Australia only managed to add four runs to their  overnight score of 256. Australia were all out for 260.Steven O keefe took 6 wickets in the first innings. he bowled 13 over’s and concede just 35 runs. To every one’s surprise India were dismissed for 105, which amasses a lead of crucial 155 runs in the first innings. Mitchel Starc who scored a half century in batting picked up two wickets with the ball He picked up important wicket of Virat Kohli. Virat kohli was dismissed for a not. Kl Rahul top scored in Indian innings with a half century.

Australia

Matt Ramshaw played his first test in India. He was given the opportunity in the Usman Khawaja. He scored  a half century and a prove a point. He went off the field retired ill after David warner got out. There was a confusion when he went off the field for the unknown reason. He did not open the batting in the second innings. Shaun Marsh was promoted to open eith David Warner

India VS Australia Preview,Scorecard

Can Kangaroo’s trouble India?

Former Skipper Sourav Ganguly felt India could win the series 4-0. Harbhajan Singh said that he won’t be surprised if India wins the series 3-0. In general Aussies are always offensive before the tour. But they are defensive on this tour. They themselves are considering as Underdogs. First of the four test series between India and Australia will commence from tomorrow at Pune. This test is Historic as the venue is making test debut.

Aussies last won a test in India in 2001. Since then Aussies haven’t tasted a victory in India. How can they anticipate a series win this scenario? Aussies were Juggernaut in International cricket back then. Then team consisted of legends like Glen McGrath, Shane Warne, Pointing, Adam Gilchrist. Australia last visited India to play a test was in 2013. They lost all the four tests they played. Recently Aussies were defeated against Srilanka, which were attenuated in strength after many of their senior players retired. They ended up winless on that tour also. Even legends from Australia felt this series will be an Herculean task for them.

Five Spinners included

Never like before, Australia have picked five spinners in their squad. Especially they have included four specialists. Nathon Lyon is the only one experienced in the four. Steve O Keefe and Ashton Agar have minimal experience only. Mitch Swepson is set make debut. Glenn Maxwell is the part time Spinner. Swepson is the recent find for them in the Big bash. Lyon was partly successful when Aussies last toured India in 2013. Starc and Hazlewood are the front line bowlers for them. Jackson Bird and Mitch Marsh are the other two in the pace department.

Australian Batting

They are highly relied on David Warner and Steve Smith. Both have very good record against India and also experience playing in India. Khawaja who evolved as integral part of Australia side, Maxwell, Shaun Marsh are also key players in the side

MS Dhoni removed from captaincy??

Dhoni is sacked as captain from Rising super Kings. Australian Skipper Steven smith is appointed as captain by the management. Pune management said that the decision is taken keeping in view of their last year performance. Dhoni is continuing only as a player after giving up Indian team’s captaincy. This will be the first Season Dhoni will be playing as player only. Team Management has said that Dhoni has respected the management decision. Dhoni cannot be solely  blamed for Pune’s performance. Main players like KP, Du plesis and Steve smith are ruled intermittently due to injuries. Pune finished in 7th place. Pune won 5  only in fourteen games they have played.

Yesteryear , Raising pune played their debut season along with Gujrat Lions. Both Gujrat Lions and Rising Pune Super Giants came in to the scene after Chennai and Rajasthan were banned for two years. Players from both CSK and RR are shuffled into the new teams. Both the banned teams are certain to come back in 2018 edition. So Dhoni coming back to CSK and taking reigns is mere formality. CSK won two titles under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. CSK won champions league under his captaincy. CSK reached playoffs on eight occasions under his captaincy. But Pune has portrayed him as failure captain with just one bad season. This decision might dent Pune image in public. Pune and Gujrat’s participation after 2018 IPL is still uncertain. Hope we see Dhoni playing witout any pressure in this year’s season

IPL Auction for 2017 season is going to be held on 20th of February. Kevin Pietrson moved out of IPL 10 by himself due to hectic last year schedule. He played few important knocks in BBL which was held this December. He is currently part of PSL. Ben stokes has been purchased for an whopping 14.5 cr which is second highest in IPL history.

  • They are on 103 on stumps of day 4.
  • Ashwin completed 250 wickets in test matches.

India managed to amass a lead of 299. Virat Kohli didn’t want to send Bangladesh  to bat again. In pursuit of creating pressure, Murali vijay, KL Rahul were dismissed in short time. Both the batsmen were dismissed chasing the ball far from off stump. At a stage India lost 23 for just loss of two wickets.Pujara scored runs at a ery good rate. He scored 54 in just 58 balls.
